Meet Charlie! This boy lingered at a shelter in Los Angeles for two months. We think it might be because he was really, really active when he got out of his kennel. Sadly, that didn't happen very often, so he probably had so much pent-up energy that when he got to visit with someone, he did everything he could to lavish them with kisses and sit on their laps. But 60-pound lap dogs can be a bit daunting, to say the least. Now that he is out of the shelter he is calming down, although he's definitely got his playful side. Charlie is a real charmer with his beautiful brindle coat and chow-Lab-who-knows-what-else mix. He's smart too. He knows sit, down and shake, and we bet there are more tricks in his repertoire. Charlie is 2, neutered, microchipped and will be examined by our veterinarian before going home. He did fine with other dogs in his kennel at the shelter, and we bet he would love a playmate and other canine friend to hang out with. Check out Charlie -- he is definitely a keeper!!!
